Spotlight Theatre Camps at OPAC

Sing. Act. Dance. Create.

Take the stage at OPAC!

Spotlight Summer Theatre Camp is a high-energy, half-day performing arts experience for students entering grades 1–8. Throughout the week, campers work alongside theatre professionals and teaching artists as they explore acting, singing, dancing, visual arts, costumes, props, and more.

It all leads to an exciting fully staged performance for family and friends on the OPAC stage.

From First Rehearsal to Final Bow

Spotlight Camp gives young performers the opportunity to experience every part of bringing a musical to life.

Campers build confidence, develop new skills, make friends, and discover the excitement of working together toward a shared goal. Whether your child already loves the spotlight or is stepping onto the stage for the first time, our encouraging teaching artists help every camper find a place to shine.

Step into the Spotlight

Throughout the week, campers will participate in:

  • Acting and character development
  • Singing and vocal performance
  • Choreography and movement
  • Scene work and rehearsals
  • Visual arts and creative activities
  • Costumes, props, and theatrical storytelling
  • A fully staged final performance at OPAC

No previous performance experience is required. Campers only need curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to participate.

Our Next Spotlight Camp

Our Summer 2027 camp lineup will be announced in early 2027. Stay tuned and check back here for camp dates, programs, registration details, and more!

Who Can Attend?

Spotlight Summer Theatre Camp is open to students entering grades 1–8 in the fall.

Because the camp builds toward a complete production, campers must be available to participate throughout the entire week, including the final rehearsal and performance.

Registration and Scholarships

Space is limited, and Spotlight frequently reaches capacity. Early registration is strongly encouraged once enrollment opens.

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available to help make the camp accessible to more young performers. Scholarship availability, deadlines, and application information will be announced with each year’s camp details.
