Enjoy an evening of holiday music with the Oxford Community Chorus at the Oxford Performing Arts Center. Under the direction of Don Gober, and accompanied by Gwen Moore and a small orchestra, the chorus will perform a program that brings together traditional carols, reflective seasonal pieces, and festive favorites.
Hear familiar songs such as “O Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bells,” “Good Christian Men Rejoice,” and “We Need a Little Christmas,” alongside “Wexford Carol,” “A Midwinter Noel,” and “I Wonder As I Wander.” The program also pairs “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” with “Joy to the World” and “Rhythm of Rejoicing” with “Silent Night! Holy Night!” Other selections include “Here We Come A-Caroling,” “I’ll Know It’s Christmas,” and “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly.”
The Oxford Community Chorus was first organized by the Oxford Arts Council in 1982 and reorganized in 2014. Today, the chorus continues its tradition of community performances at OPAC.
Admission is free, but tickets are required. All seats are reserved.
